UConn, Purdue to Face Off in National Championship
Purdue seeks first title, UConn aims for a repeat

The 2024 NCAA Tournament National Championship game has been set, with No. 1 seeds UConn and Purdue set to square off in Phoenix on Monday night.
Purdue, the Big Ten regular season and tournament champion, comes into the game with a 34-4 record. The Boilermakers are led by senior guard Jaden Ivey, who is averaging 17.3 points per game this season.
UConn, the Big East regular season and tournament champion, comes into the game with a 36-3 record. The Huskies are led by sophomore guard Paige Bueckers, who is averaging 20.1 points per game this season.
UConn is the defending national champion, having defeated Arizona in last year's title game. The Huskies are looking to become the first team since 2004 to win back-to-back national championships.
Purdue is seeking its first national championship in program history. The Boilermakers have come close in recent years, reaching the Final Four in 2019 and 2021.
The National Championship game will be played on Monday, April 10, at the Footprint Center in Phoenix. The game will be televised on TBS.
